Stanley Wood

Stanley Wood was born and raised in Illinois a child of the "Great Depression" and WW II.  He was called into the Air Force during the Korean War and sent to Spokane and Fairchild in 1951.  He married and remained here finishing his college degree and becoming a Spokane teacher for 31 years.

Besides being an artist he took up writing some years ago and published his first book of fiction, FOUR EYES, in 2003.  Because he taught in the middle grades it was natural for him to write for this age group.  He has also written a western for this age group that hasn't been published yet.  He also writes poetry and plans on publishing  a small book of his poems soon.  His interests vary widely and in the past he has been a scuba diver and skier.  His next book he plans on writing for the adult market in crime and suspense.
