Bios are a pain for me
To bear my soul for
all to see - - -
Is not a task that
brings delight
What can I say to not
sound trite
My pride and joy is
Gale, my wife
Her love and care
fulfills my life.
We live a little west
of town
Our joys are
gardening, cats, and home.
I’ve lived a life of
circumstance
The whats and wheres
done most by chance
For twenty years I
went about - - -
My UNCLE’S business, -
SAM? - (no doubt.)
I piloted the world
around,
Flew planes in spots
where wars were found.
In reccy birds and
Asian lands,
Through Arctic nights
and desert sands.
Retired, I went to
building then,
A house for us and
others when - - -
From this a budding
business rose,
For fifteen years, the
way life goes.
Retired twice I try to
find,
An hour or two to
write a line.
Much harder than the
building game,
But satisfying just
the same.
I call myself “an
author” now
I’ve published two small
books somehow.
And made fine friends,
the times are great
The forum, ASP, to
commiserate.
We group with others
so inclined
I’ve many friends who
also rhyme.
What do I write? Well
as you see - - -
JUST MOSTLY SENSELESS
POETRY.
Best wishes, Chuck O’Connor
