Spokane Authors & Self Publishers
Newsletter # 3 – December 1999
Two SASP Founders Say Good-bye as Officers,
Hello as Members
Greetings!
Thanks
to all you wonderful members for making Spokane Authors & Self-Publishers a
rousing success. With the coming election of new officers, it's time now for new
leadership. As I leave the presidency, I want to thank all you members for your
great participation. I'm looking forward to being past president, but still
remaining active in the group.
The programs and
speakers scheduled for next year promise to make our meetings super interesting.
If any of you have special speakers you would like to suggest, or topics you
would like addressed, please let us know. Please consider how you can help our
group--recruiting new members, talking up our organization, assisting with
committee work. Special thanks to Chuck O'Connor, Dan Volume and Joe Meiners,
our other founding "fathers," for all their hard work behind the
scenes, and to Lee Dominey, who keeps us all in line with her record-keeping and
newsletter.
SASP forever!

Fellow SASP’ers,
Although I am no longer an officer in SASP, I will remain active and willing to help in any way I can. I am looking forward to greeting you at the door.

January: PUBLISHING VIA ELECTRONICS
SASP’er Jack Poole & fellow author John Moore will share their hands-on experiences on publishing via electronics – on CD’s and the Internet. Jack, who adopted writing as his second career after retiring from IBM, has published numerous travel articles and short stories, both in print and on the World Wide Web in Sonata Magazine. He is currently preparing a story series and a novella for electronic publication by iUniverse. (In between, he is a generous volunteer in the Spokane community, and now especially with Hospice of Spokane.)
John D Moore, CPP, is 31 year veteran in the Police Career field, specializing in commercial and industrial security crimes. He has written many articles in professional journals, magazines and newspapers, and recently produced a technical manual, Armed Robbery Training Manual, on CD-ROM in Adobe Acrobat format! Wow! This is truly high-tech! Get your questions ready, and check out J
